Mozzafiato in Italian means breathtaking, and this is how we feel about this special coffee from Nicaragua. We selected this coffee for its amazing qualities to produce a classic Italian espresso roast. This means it is roasted toward the darker end of medium. It is sweet, caramelly, chocolatey, full bodied, with low acidity. This coffee also makes amazing drip coffee, cold brew, or iced coffee.

About the farmers and the coffee

This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Unión de Cooperativas Agropecuarias de San Juan del Río

Coco (UCA), a cooperative operating in the municipality of San Juan de Río Coco within the departments of Madriz, Nicaragua.

The cooperative has 420 members (80 women) who, on average, cultivate 12 acres of coffee. In addition, the cooperative

provides marketing, technical assistance, and small business lending to all of its members.
